Javier Rodriguez has served as Executive Director of the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) since March 2007. During this time, he has guided the authority through $1.4 Billion in mobility improvements, as well as, the total conversion of the MDX expressways to All Electronic Tolling (AET). He oversees MDX’s operations and maintenance, its expansion and toll system financing. Prior to joining MDX, Mr. Rodriguez spent 16 years at the Florida Department of Transportation District 6. A native Floridian, Mr. Rodriguez earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Florida International University and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. He served as President of the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) in 2015 and was bestowed an Honorary Lifetime Membership in 2017.
