Florida Transportation Commission
Ralph Yoder is the Executive Director of the Florida Transportation Commission (FTC), where he has served since 2019.
Prior to his role with the FTC, Mr. Yoder served as the elected Superintendent of Schools of the Calhoun County School District, from 2012 to 2019. He has worked in the private sector in various industries and served as the executive director of an industry association. Mr. Yoder was previously employed by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and worked as the Intergovernmental Liaison in FDOT District 3.
The FTC serves as the citizen’s oversight board for FDOT, along with the state’s expressway authorities and regional transit authorities. The FTC also makes transportation policy recommendations to the Governor and the Legislature.
Mr. Yoder works closely with the commissioners, who are governor-appointed, to provide leadership to
meet Florida’s transportation needs through policy guidance on issues of statewide importance.
