Florida Division Manager
Rick Acree, P.E. graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and has over 25 years of experience as a geotechnical engineer in Florida. His expertise includes geotechnical consulting for roadway and bridge construction for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and local municipalities.
Throughout his career, Rick has been engaged in most areas of the business including drilling operations, laboratory testing, construction material testing, threshold inspections, and environmental contamination assessments.
Rick is a Senior Principal at Terracon and serves as the Florida Division Manager responsible for over 300 staff and 10 offices located in the State of Florida. Rick also currently serves on the 401(k)/ESOP Board of Trustees for Terracon. Rick has previously served as President of the East Central Branch of ASCE, the President of the Central Florida Chapter of FES, the Chair of GMEC, and the current GMEC Director for ACEC of Florida.
Rick Acree has played a key role in our engineering community with his involvement in professional associations and civic activities. He has demonstrated leadership with his commitment to learning, working and mentoring others, and involvement in the geotechncial community and engineering practice in the Central Florida Region and beyond.
